Carpe Rhythmum
Carpe Rhythmum is a non-profit association and company created in 2015 by four professional tap dancers. The Swiss team has 38 world tap titles in all categories (sic). They already performed together in the past decade in various productions such as Shoebiz, a tap dance show with Sophie Romanelli and Gilles Guenat, Box-Son and Slap, two shows of the Martin's Tap Dance Company with Gilles Guenat and Daniel Leveillé or Funny Feet, a show created by Lukas Weiss where Sophie Romanelli, Daniel Borak and Daniel Leveillé shared the stage.
In 2016, the team was reinforced by four additional Swiss professional dancers: Olvia and Rebecca Grobéty (Nyon), Shyrleen Müller (Bern) and Ursina Meyer (Zürich / Winterthur).
Finally, in 2019, a ninth dancer joined the team: Maria Busquets (Barcelona / Geneva).
Their goal is simple: to propose a new, more modern and up-to-date image of tap.
To this end, Carpe Rhythmum may use all sorts of means: performances, shows, videos, teaching master classes and workshops, organizing events, etc.
Their weapons: leather shoes with metal taps (coming in different shapes and colors) and lots of creativity—with no other limit than that of their imagination.
